Interpreter Positions—Various Locations
- Languages Needed : Dinka, Spanish, Rohingya, Masalit, Kinyarwanda/Kiswahili, Fur, Burmese, Arabic/Sudanese Arabic, Ukrainian.
- Location : Various locations across the USA.
- Role Overview : Provide interpretation services to bridge communication gaps and support clients in accessing essential services such as healthcare, legal aid, education, and employment.
- Key Responsibilities :
- Interpret spoken language accurately and effectively in various settings (e.g., medical appointments, legal consultations, community events).
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Assist in written translations when required.
- Requirements :
- Native or near-native fluency in the specified language and English.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Cultural sensitivity and a commitment to supporting diverse communities.
- Prior experience in interpretation or translation is preferred but not mandatory.

Employment and Benefits Specialist
Job Overview: The Burmese Interpreter provides in-person and/or remote interpretation to facilitate, with accuracy, impartiality, and confidentiality, the language needs of Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals and their service providers. Activities include providing professional interpretation services, use of software to track assignments, and occasional trainings and assessments.
Major Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide accurate, impartial, and confidential interpretation to LEP individuals and service providers in a variety of settings, including clinics, hospitals, schools, community-based organizations, and government agencies. Services may be rendered in-person, via telephone, videoconference, or other virtual means.
- Track assignments and work hours within designated software.
- Participate in trainings and assessments.
- May support special projects and initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Location : United States (specific locations to be confirmed).
- Role Overview : Support refugees and immigrants in navigating the U.S. job market and accessing benefits to ensure their successful integration into society.
- Key Responsibilities :
- Assist clients with job searches, resume building, and interview preparation.
- Provide guidance on accessing public benefits and social services.
- Collaborate with employers and community partners to create employment opportunities.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions on workforce readiness.
- Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of employment and benefits systems in the U.S.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience working with immigrant or refugee populations is highly desirable.
